Founder & Practicioner

Hina Sheth is the owner and practitioner of Rebalance Physical Therapy. She is a board-certified physical therapist specializing in orthopedics, including spine and pelvic floor rehabilitation. She is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association and a Manual Certified Therapist through the University of St. Augustine.

Hina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Science from the University of Florida in 1998 and her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2000. Shortly after graduating, she moved to New York City, where she specialized in orthopedics and sports injuries with an emphasis on spine and sacroiliac joint dysfunction.

In 2004, she relocated to Philadelphia, where she trained as a pelvic floor specialist at the University of Pennsylvania. During this time, she worked closely with renowned physicians, mentored and trained junior staff, and assisted in teaching physical therapy students at Arcadia University. She also developed an eclectic approach to treatment, integrating various manual techniques with Yoga and Pilates. She continues to collaborate with leading physicians throughout the Philadelphia healthcare system and surrounding suburbs. Hina lectures several times throughout the year at institutions including Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann/Drexel/Lankenau, and Thomas Jefferson Hospitals on spinal dysfunction, pelvic pain, and the holistic model of treatment.

In addition to her clinical work, Hina is an accomplished speaker and media contributor. She delivered a TEDx talk in 2022 on increasing awareness of genital and pelvic pain—conditions that affect a significant number of men and women yet remain underrecognized in both the community and healthcare settings. She has also been featured as an expert on local Fox News, helping to bring greater public awareness to pelvic health and musculoskeletal care. Her ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible and engaging way has made her a sought-after speaker and a valued contributor to the physical therapy community.

Hina participated in an NIH research study in 2008 on interstitial cystitis and physical therapy treatment, which helped advance pelvic floor therapy as a recognized intervention for pelvic pain. She has co-authored chapters in several urogynecologic manuals on pelvic pain and serves as an exam writer for the American Physical Therapy Association’s Women’s Health certification. She has trained with world-renowned spine and sacroiliac joint specialists, including Stanley Paris, Mark Laslett, Diane Lee, and Linda-Joy Lee, and continues to pursue advanced coursework in craniosacral therapy to further refine her manual therapy skills.

Hina is highly skilled in dry needling and incorporates it as a key component of her treatment approach when appropriate. She utilizes dry needling to address myofascial trigger points, reduce neuromuscular tension, and improve movement patterns, particularly in complex spine, pelvic, and chronic pain conditions. Her integration of dry needling within a broader manual therapy and movement-based framework allows for more precise and effective treatment outcomes.

Hina is an active member of the National Vulvodynia Association, the International Pelvic Pain Society, the American Physical Therapy Association, and the Interstitial Cystitis Network.

Outside of her professional work, Hina enjoys spending quality time with her husband, three children, and her dog, Rooney. She loves entertaining close friends, exploring great food and wine, traveling, skiing, and photography, and has a strong interest in personal growth and self-development.
