Postpartum Workshop: Take Care of your Body and Mind After Having a Baby

“How do I take care of myself after having a baby?”

Your body goes through intense physical, hormonal and emotional changes throughout the prenatal and postpartum period. It’s important to prepare yourself to better care for yourself postpartum to help you feel better physically and mentally.

Pelvic floor physical therapist Elayne Geba (PT, DPT, WCS) and postpartum therapist Aimee Wood (LCSW) will be offering this event to help prepare women to better take care of themselves, both mentally and physically, after having a baby.

This event is for all moms-to-be, current moms and your partner.

Elayne will talk to you about how to take care of your postpartum body, and answer questions including:

  • *When to start an exercise program and what exercises are safe
  • *Latest research on diastasis recti and how it can be healed or prevented
  • *Implications for post c-section/perineal scars and how to improve scar mobility
  • *How to prevent or alleviate common aches and pains, including low back, hip and pelvic pain
