These are some of the questions we hear from new moms. While many of these symptoms can happen postpartum, but in 6-8 weeks you should be starting to feel normal again.

We are offering two events at Rebalance to help educate new (and seasoned) moms on how to better take care of themselves postpartum and when to seek treatment.

COMPLIMENTARY Diastasis Screening: November 8

If you have a Diastasis, you can have one or more of these symptoms:

  1. 1. A belly button that is inside out
  2. 2. A bulge in the midline when you sit up or lower or raise your legs
  3. 3. Gap in the midline and protruding belly
  4. 4. Feeling like you are still pregnant in your 1st trimester.

Its important to diagnose and treat your diastasis to prevent further damage.

COMPLIMENTARY Pregnancy & Postpartum Event with Elayne: November 29 (rescheduled due to weather)

Pelvic floor physical therapist Elayne Geba (PT, DPT, WCS) will teach new moms how to better take care of themselves, both mentally and physically, after having a baby. She will talk to you about how to take care of your postpartum body, and answer questions including:

  • *When to start an exercise program and what exercises are safe
  • *Latest research on diastasis recti and how it can be healed or prevented
  • *Implications for post c-section/perineal scars and how to improve scar mobility
  • *How to prevent or alleviate common aches and pains, including low back, hip and pelvic pain
  • *How to prevent or alleviate common dysfunctions that can occur way after postpartum, including incontinence prolapses and pain with sex
