Hello! I’m Christine, a licensed physical therapist, and I’m excited to share my story with you. My journey in physical therapy began with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, which I obtained before pursuing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Scranton. While my education laid the foundation for my career, it was my personal experiences that truly shaped my path.
From the start of my career, I had the opportunity to work in various physical therapy settings, treating a wide range of orthopedic issues, including low back pain, hip discomfort, and ankle injuries. However, my true passion blossomed when I entered the transformative phase of pregnancy and motherhood. It was during this time that I discovered the profound impact physical therapy could have on women navigating the challenges of pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Having two children of my own was an eye-opening experience. I vividly remember the overwhelming emotions that came with each stage of motherhood—the joy, the fear, and the myriad changes my body underwent. It became clear to me that many women face similar challenges, often feeling unsupported during such a crucial time in their lives. This realization ignited my dedication to pelvic floor rehabilitation, an area of physical therapy that specifically addresses the needs of women during and after pregnancy.
As I dove deeper into pelvic floor therapy, I gained a comprehensive understanding of the anatomy and physiology of this vital area. The changes that occur during pregnancy and postpartum can be daunting, but they are also natural. I am committed to helping both women and men regain their physical and emotional well-being through a holistic approach that includes hands-on treatment, manual therapy, exercise therapy, and education on proper body mechanics.
What sets my practice apart is not just my clinical expertise but also my warm and compassionate approach to patient care. I firmly believe that establishing personal connections with my patients is key to their healing journey. It’s a privilege to be able to walk alongside them, providing encouragement and support as they work toward their health goals.
Every person I work with has her own unique story, and I strive to create a safe space where she feels heard and understood. Whether it’s addressing pelvic pain or navigating the physical changes postpartum, I take the time to listen, empathize, and tailor my treatments to fit her specific needs. My goal is to be not just a therapist, but also a cheerleader and ally in her journey toward recovery.
One of the aspects of my work that I cherish most is the opportunity to educate my patients about their bodies. Many women are unaware of the importance of pelvic floor health and how it can affect their overall well-being. Through informative discussions, I empower my patients to take charge of their health, demystifying the physical changes they may be experiencing.
Education doesn’t stop at the clinic. I enjoy sharing insights and resources on social media and through workshops. I believe that the more women understand their bodies, the better equipped they are to advocate for themselves and seek the help they need. It’s all about fostering a community of support and knowledge.
When I’m not busy at the clinic, you can find me enjoying life outside of work. I have a deep love for travel, and I relish the opportunity to explore new places and cultures with my family. Whether we’re lounging at the beach or embarking on an adventure, these moments allow me to recharge and appreciate the beauty of life.
Originally from Northern New Jersey, I’ve been living just outside of Philadelphia for the past seven years. This vibrant city has welcomed me, and I’m proud to be part of the local physical therapy community. I cherish the connections I’ve made with fellow healthcare professionals and the chance to collaborate on providing the best care for our patients.
At our clinic, I am thrilled to be part of a team of dedicated physical therapists, each bringing their unique expertise to the table. If you’re experiencing pelvic pain, orthopedic issues, or are in need of postpartum support, I want you to know that I am here to help you regain your strength and confidence. My mission is to guide you through the healing process, offering not just physical treatments but also the emotional support you may need during this time.
Together, we can work toward your goals, whether that means alleviating pain, restoring function, or simply feeling more comfortable in your own skin. I am committed to helping you navigate this journey with care and compassion.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. My journey as a physical therapist has been deeply fulfilling, and I look forward to continuing to support women through their own unique experiences. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how I can assist you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Let’s embark on this journey together, moving toward healing, strength, and renewed confidence. Your story matters, and I’m here to help you write the next chapter.
